Happy National Hemp Day!

What Is ‘National Hemp Day?’

National Hemp Day is observed Annually on February 4th to recognize & celebrate the past, present, and future roles of Hemp in our lives. cbdMD (A Publicly-Traded; Hemp-Extracted Wellness Company) founded the Holiday on February 4, 2019; as a way to build awareness about the value of Hemp, the Farmers who work so hard to produce it, the Innovators who use it in new and unexpected ways, and anyone who finds Hemp useful in its many forms.

Hemp, or Industrial Hemp; is a Cannabis Plant rich in Cannabidiol (CBD), a naturally occurring cannabinoid that helps optimize various important biological functions. CBD benefits us by interacting with your Endocannabinoid System (ECS), an internal network of cell-signaling receptors that helps regulate key processes ranging from memory, mood, appetite, digestion, mobility, and rest.

Often mistaken for its federally illegal Cousin, Marijuana; Hemp is the complete opposite. Hemp is 100% federally legal and does not make the consumer inebriated. This is because hemp contains 0.3% or less THC; the cannabinoid in Marijuana that leads someone to become beside themselves. Since the Farm Bill passed in 2018, Industrial Hemp production has skyrocketed, and with it, the entire Hemp Industry.

How Can YOU Celebrate National Hemp Day:

Hemp has an important place in human history. Used for thousands of years by Humans for various purposes, Hemp is now more popular than ever with consumers thanks to its many wellness benefits and its utility.  Here are some beneficial and creative ways to celebrate:

Learn More About Hemp! ~ If you’re new to Hemp, you can spend the day learning about it-- you can read several informative blogs about the many benefits of hemp and hemp-derived products. If you’re already a hemp-enthusiast, you can spread the knowledge by educating your friends and family about this amazing natural wonder.

Buy Hemp Products! ~ Celebrate National Hemp Day by buying hemp products! From Hemp paper to Hemp Rope, to Hemp-Derived CBD oil, there are plenty of products to choose from. At Healthy Leaf Organics, we have a wide selection of CBD Products that you can add to your daily wellness regimen to boost your health!

Spread The Word! ~ The United States legalized Hemp only a few years ago. As previously mentioned, the 2018 Farm Bill allowed American Hemp Farmers to finally grow this beneficial crop. National Hemp Day is the perfect day to engage your Local Representatives & Government Officials about this plant, and how its many derivatives have positively impacted you and the people you know.

Education and Advocacy of Hemp will eliminate the stigma this plant still might have. Doing so, will ensure Hemp stays legal and consumers will continue to benefit from it.

However you choose to celebrate, we wish you a Happy National Hemp Day!
